Ours is not the only world in existance. There is another, one closely connected to our own through a series of magical portals that can take people from one realm and place them in the other. This world is called Medan, and is home to magic and such magical creatures as elves, faeries, satyrs, centaurs, mages, demons, dwarves, and the angel-like avians. When one of them is transported here, they must learn our ways. There are those in this world that know of Medan, and strive to help its residents when they unexpectedly arrive here. One such person is Madame Amelia Miette, the latest to inherit the Miette Academy for the Gifted, a place where those lost souls of Medan can learn to take human form and be integrated into society.
